Some Joy and Cheer

Hey Everyone! I have a card to share today that was from my time as a Dirty Dozen on Splitcoaststampers. Enough time has passed that I can share these creations here on Downstairs Designs. I Loved my time on the team, and put my heart into every creation, and wanted to share one more time. :)

I realize it is the first day of Summer on the calendar, so bear with me when I show you a Christmas card.. Maybe it will put you in a cooler frame of mind. :) Here is the card -

While being on the Design Team it allowed me to use all kinds of retired papers that are in my stash. So this paper may bring back some memories and.. prompt you to use some of it that you may have hiding in your stash too. *wink* Now there are some current products used to, so don't worry, if you have some of that paper, the card stock and alphabet are still readily available. :)
OK, that's it for me today... gotta hit the road to pick up a kiddo away at Summer Camp! Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!

Sugared Plum

Good Morning Everyone! I have a card to share today..Earlier in the week our family as well as others in our community were shocked by the very sudden death of a friend to so many.  So needless to say, I needed to sit and make a sympathy card..

I used a new color, Baked Brown Sugar, and an old Perfect Plum. I like the rich combo.. :)
A really straight forward card too... no fuss or muss. OK.. off to the post to get in the mail. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!

a sampling of USA

Hey Everyone! It's been a week from my last post... sorry.... Summer is in full swing here, and the boys are off to this and that..So that means, Mom is driving here and there.. and everywhere.. :) I have been in the yard, and busy putting out the July 4th Holiday decorations inside and out. I started inside with a sampler of red white and blue -

I made it with a retired set from a summer mini catalog from years ago.. I am sorry I don't know the name, but the set belongs to my stamping friend Pam D'Urso.. :) I love it.. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek! :)

Chirp Chirp..Tweet

Hi Everyone! Taking a break from yard work, and sharing another card that is made with some new goodies. :) This time around I am using some new DSP from the Gingham Garden Suite in the new catty. The colors in the papers are so fresh and Sweet.. I paired the papers with the set Animal Talk and came up with this card

I just love the Island Indigo gingham in this DSP. I jumped for joy that Island Indigo has carried over as a new core color in the catalog. :) There are some retired elements on my card too,.. I have to use the old before I buy some new, (it's so hard when everything in the catty is like a new shiny penny.) I just remind my self to breathe. :) OK, off to get the yard work complete. thanks for stopping by and taking a peek! :)

I really have no explaination.. :( It is fine here when added to the post, but then something goes amiss.. If any of you out there have a clue as to why, please let this one confused woman know.. Thanks!

Special Delivery Dude...

Hi Everyone! I have a card to share today.. My Ian was in need of a Birthday card for a classmates party that he would be attending this evening. Do I have any Tween cards on hand??? Um.. no... Better still, do I have any "boy" Tween cards on hand...?, an even bigger Um.. No.. ! Now I am faced with the task of making a card that is age appropriate, masculine, and on short order.. :) The horrors...*wink* .. Here is the my card for today -

Inspiration was from a card by Amy Sheffer.. I combined some Gender neutral sets and DSP to create my card..., and really like the outcome. OK now if I am smart, I will sit and create another, and then I will be ahead of the game for next time.. :) Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!
