Wood you be mine?

Hey Everyone! it's been awhile...But it was out of my control. My computer decided it had enough of me, and my demands, and decided to up and quit.. I should have seen it coming really.. life was going a little to smoothly.. :)

I also took a short trip with my darling husband to Washington D.C.. We took  in some sites, and took time to breathe a little with each other. We have never been "alone" on vacation together, and it was about time.. so thanks to my Mom, we escaped for a few days.. Yea! :)

So this week I am excited to have a new computer,  and to play with some new stamps that came while I was away. Whoop! Today I am sharing a card made with a Valentine set from the Occasions mini called "Wood you be Mine".. its a little quirky at first glance, but Super Fun!! Here is my card -

I used my Blendabilities markers to color this LOVE-able Lumberjack shouting "Timber!"
Here is the inside  -

I just separated the sentiment, masked it, and stamped the tree line image so it appears behind it. I love it! This is such a fun Valentine I can't wait to send it! :) Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!

I pulled out the set Greetings From, and a retired set called Greetings of the season, and came up with this -

a dazzling 60 years

Hey Everyone! I have been busy, like the rest of you I am sure, getting ready for the upcoming holidays. This past weekend I painted our back hall, and yesterday I made an anniversary frame for my beloved neighbors. They are celebrating 60 years of marriage. Wow! I am just in awe of them every time we share stories over the fence with each other. They both are wonderfully amazing people, and full of life and love for each other. So, as a token of my love for them, I decided to make a frame for them. I made a card a few months back for a couple celebrating their 50th. A fellow demo, Carol Carriveau, made the suggestion to put it in a frame, so that's what I did. Thanks Carol! Here is the frame -

I just changed up the numbers, and used Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper in lieu of the gold foil on the original considering it is their diamond anniversary. :) Here is a close up -

I really loved making this for them, and I am sure they will love it too! OK, off to get some ingredients for this weekends Boy Scout bake sale! Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!

I had so much fun coloring and making all the little details. Here is a close up -

Oh Happy Day

Hey Everyone! I mentioned in my post from yesterday, that I needed to sit down and crank out one more Birthday card this week. Well, that is just what I did. Here is my second birthday card this week -

I used two hostess sets for this card, Nuts about you, and Hello Love. :) Over the last couple of weeks I have had to do some reorganizing in my stamp/laundry room due to some plumbing issues. While I was putting things in their place, I found some retired SU cork sheets. Never opened of course, until yesterday... a little late to the party, but better late than never. :) Who knows, maybe you have some, and can breathe some new life into them too! Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!

Thanks Pumpkin(s)

Hello Everyone! The sun is finally out here in the midwest. We can at long last get some pictures of all the beautiful trees turning, and see everyones pumpkins on their porches. :) Inspiring to say the least.. I was inspired to play a little more with the Good Greetings hostess set, and pair it with the sweet Fall Fest set from the holiday catalog. Here is my card -

I stamped my pumpkins in Crushed Curry, then sponged on Tangelo Twist for some depth, and used my chocolate chip marker to add the little vines too. Definitely a busy card, but I think it all works together. :) Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!

Truly Grateful (undefined)

Hello Everyone! I actually had to sit down and stamp this past weekend.. :) My oldest son will be making his Conformation in a couple weeks, so I needed to get out his invites for the family. Looking through my stamps I realize, I have nothing appropriate for a conformation card/invite. No dove, cross, or anything remotely close to what I needed. So.., what else do I do besides go into full blown panic mode,... I break out my Undefined stamp carving kit, and make my own.. Whoop!! Here is my card and handy-work -

I kept the images REAL simple considering this was the first time I ever did this, and I love the outcome. I used a sentiment from the set Truly Grateful and think it fit just fine too! OK, I am off to get these in the mail and one their way. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek! :)

Give thanks

Hi Everyone! I took some time for myself yesterday, and played a little downstairs. I have had very little time for any play time since the beginning of the school year, and it really felt good to get a little inky. I had a back to basics kind of play day yesterday, and played with only things that were in front of me on my desk,.. Paper, Ink , Scissors, and punches, and of course some stamps sets that had yet to see any ink. :) I decided to play with Nuts about You, and... a hostess promotion exclusive set called Good Greetings. Both sets can be earned if you host a $300 dollar workshop. Good Greetings however is FREE with a qualifying order through the month of October... ,.. So Hurry up and get yours! Anyhoo, here is my card -

I had a lot of fun with all the fussy cutting, while listening to some oldie but goodies on the radio. I think my favorite parts of the card are the little birds pilgrim hat, and the picket fence.. Fun! OK, I am off and running... Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!

Partridge & Pears

Hey Everyone! I took advantage of the heat this last week to make a few samples for an upcoming demo meeting showcasing the new holiday catalog, and the blendabilites markers. I was asked to come up with a project, and some examples, so I have a share today of one of those samples. :)

I used the new set Partridge & Pears.. When I got the holiday catalog, I was immediately drawn to this set.. Probably considering it would be super fun to color with none other than SU's new Blendabilites markers.. *wink* Love the outcome and the markers! Hopefully you will give them a try too.. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek! :)

Frame for Neighbors

Hey Everyone! LONG time no post right?! No excuses this time, I have been away, and that is that. I needed a break, and thats what I did. I have really needed to put some time into other things, the end result, nothing really notable to share. C'est la vie. :) I do however have a share today... a frame for my next door neighbors wedding today.. Yup, TODAY... nothing like waiting until the very last minute right..

I used mostly SU colors and papers for this creation. The textured paper is from a local craft supply store, to match the ribbon from their invitation.. I used a retired set called Because I care for the Hydrangea image, and an old favorite color Kiwi Kiss too! Sorry for the picture quality, I guess I am a little rusty, considering the time away. OK, I am off to wrap this baby up, and get ready for their big day.. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!

For Becky

Hey Everyone!.. I have a quick post of a card that I have made for my neighbors upcoming nuptials. I broke out the set Best of Brides and Babies for the first time. I always loved the couple image found in the To Have and To Hold set from way back when, so I was thrilled to find it in the best of set. OK, here is her card -

I had a lot of trouble this morning trying to get a good picture, I think to much white is the problem, so I took a close up and that had a little bit truer colors in it -

Lots of little details, but super fun to make. OK.. I am off to rally the kids to clean their rooms before we get head long into the summer.. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!

For the Bride and Groom

Hey Everyone! I have a quick share this evening.. This weekend I will be attending a wedding, and wanted to share the card that I have made for the newlyweds.  I broke out some older papers, considering they are the brides colors, and a scrap of some old big box store DSP. Had to use it because it fit perfect -

I cased myself for this card, just changed up the colors, which I adore! Such beautiful combo of Purples and greens..I colored the image with copic markers, and am hoping that SU will come out with a similar color grouping with their new alcohol markers, blendabilites. I also made a scrap page/frame for them too, but do not want to share until I get permission from them considering I used their invitation/names on the page. So if I get the OK, I promise I will share that with you too! Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek! Have a great weekend everyone!
