Hi Everyone! I finally got all the running that I could today done! Phew.... There is an Uber sweet set called Perfectly Preserved  in the Holiday Mini catalog, and I fell in LOVE! Here is my sample -

This canning jar can be filled with SO many things! :) Today I just kept it simple, and filled it with flowers. I used my aqua painter and Baja Breeze reinker to add the water, then cut out the embossed and colored image. I placed my cut out onto the card base, then stamped my stems and added the blooms. Added a simple black frame around the blooms, and added the just for you tag. Love it! Off to play some more... Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek! Details below -

Birthday Blimp

Hi Everyone! I have another quick post for you today. I had the evening to myself yesterday, and played a little again. When the mojo hits, I am taking full advantage these days. I inked up the set Moving Forward again. I have to say that I REALLY like this set. It was one of those "must have" sets that jumped up and said "Pick me, Pick me!" Well who could say no? Here is my card -

I had the scraps from the previous card on my desk, so I used those papers. :) I stamped my Blimp image in Black, cut it out, then added the little banners in Pool Party. The clouds are hand cut, and I added a little piercing around them for detail, and punched my Sun from the Domestic Goddess DSP. Really Simple and Sweet! Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek! Blessings

Hi Everyone! I have a quick post for you this morning... I had some more time to play yesterday..so I played with some new sets from the new catalog. :) I was inspired by a card that I found on Case Study to use the new set called Take Care. I really love the branch image, and the sweet nest from this set, so those are the images I used for this card -

I stamped my images with Chocolate Chip, and Lucky Limeade inks, then used my Blender pen to pull a little of the chocolate chip into the white space of the nest. Then cut it out, and added the heart shaped bitty buttons for "eggs". I used my XL bird punch for my love birds, and added the Blessings sentiment to make this a sweet baby card. I guess it could be a house warming card for a newly wed couple too. You decide. :) I love the outcome! Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek! :) Details Below -

Fast and Fab CC385

Hello Everyone! I have been away for awhile again. Sorry. I have had a really busy bunch of weeks with the kiddos now that summer is in it's dog days, and things were getting tedious with them. So it was Mom to the rescue with a lot of outings, and then getting them ready for Camp! But I am back, and I have a card to share. It just so happens to be Tuesday, so that means a Splitcoast Color Challenge card is in order.. ( Don't want to break with tradition and all..:) Today's colors were Real Red, Island Indigo, and Wisteria Wonder, with a desert option to make it a summer card. I have to say I was a little baffled by this combo. So I decided to keep it really simple, just paper and ink. Here is my card -

I used the set called Fast and Fabulous from last years catalog. I barely used this set when it was current, it always seemed to be on lend to someone. But its all good! I stamped my images in the colors for the challenge then used my blender pen to color them. Really "Fast & Fabulous" if I do say so myself! OK, that's it for me! Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek! Details below -

Heather :)

Stamps - Fast & Fabulous (retired), Pennant Parade (Sentiment)

Moving Forward CC380

Hi Everyone! It is an unbearable 96 degrees here in Illinois, and that means I am staying in and playing. I got all my running done this AM, and then quietly snuck downstairs to play along in the color challenge on Splitcoast Stampers. Today's hostess gave us some great colors to work with today, Tangerine Tango, Chocolate Chip, and Always Artichoke. I have been itching to ink up the new Ronald McDonald house charities stamp put out by SU this year called Moving Forward since I received it in my box of goodies at the beginning of the month. So today was the day. I really wasn't sure if the colors would work with the images, but I sure gave it my all! :) Here is my card for the challenge today -

I really like how it came out! I used some new goodies and some old ones too! The set, as I mentioned before, is from the new catalog, and the ribbons are all discontinued as well as the DSP. The EF is from the new catalog, and that is called Fancy Fan. I really believe that this EF will become a "fan" favorite really quick! I Love it! OK, off to get some other work done! Father's Day for Coco

Hi Everyone! I have a short post for you today. I waited to the last minute to make a Father's Day card for my boys to give their God Father ( Coco ). Why does he have the name Coco?? Well it goes back 10 years or so now,..My oldest, Sean, learning to speak, could not for the lack of trying pronounce Uncle. All he would say was Coco to his God Father. So, to this day he is Coco. Which is probably a good thing, considering my sister and I married men with the same first name.. I know confusing right??! But now there is no confusion for them at family parties either! Anyhoo, you stopped by to check out some crafty goodness, so enough yada yada, and onto the sample for today -

I found inspiration for this card at StampinConnection, a website for SU Demonstrators only.
I used some new and retired elements for this card. The DP is from years past called Urban Oasis. The ship is from the set called Open Sea, and can be found in the main catalog, as well as the Big Shot Labels Framelits. OK off to put this in the mail, so it gets there in time. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek! Details below -

See, don't you agree!! I colored my image with my SU markers and my versamarker. I use the versamarker to blend my colors, and to add some depth to the areas that I want to appear darker, or have a shadow.  I don't think that it is a recorded "technique", it is just something that I figured out on my own. :) Give it a try, it's really fun, I promise!! Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek! Details below -

New Color and a Birthday wish

Hi Everyone! I had a chance to play with some of the new colors for the new 2012-2013 Stampin' Up! catalog. Today I gave Gumball Green a shot. I had the sets Apothecary Art and Papaya Collage out on my desk still, and decided to ink them up one more time too!  I needed to make a Birthday card for someone special, and these sets will do just the trick! :)  Here is my card -

I think it turned out great! I found inspiration for this card on the Case Study challenge blog. I stamped the Apothecary art image onto Naturals white with black Stazon, then water colored the blooms with the Gumball Green re-inker and my aqua painter. I then stamped it again, colored some of the blooms, cut them out, and popped them up onto the same blooms of the first ones I colored. I added a little bit of Dazzling diamonds onto each of the centers of the blooms for a little bit of extra detail. So what do you think of Gumball Green?? Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!
