a dazzling 60 years

Hey Everyone! I have been busy, like the rest of you I am sure, getting ready for the upcoming holidays. This past weekend I painted our back hall, and yesterday I made an anniversary frame for my beloved neighbors. They are celebrating 60 years of marriage. Wow! I am just in awe of them every time we share stories over the fence with each other. They both are wonderfully amazing people, and full of life and love for each other. So, as a token of my love for them, I decided to make a frame for them. I made a card a few months back for a couple celebrating their 50th. A fellow demo, Carol Carriveau, made the suggestion to put it in a frame, so that's what I did. Thanks Carol! Here is the frame -

I just changed up the numbers, and used Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper in lieu of the gold foil on the original considering it is their diamond anniversary. :) Here is a close up -

I really loved making this for them, and I am sure they will love it too! OK, off to get some ingredients for this weekends Boy Scout bake sale! Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!

Peace & Joy

Hello Everyone! We made it to the weekend! :) This past week has been productive in the creative dept, and I couldn't happier! Whoop! Here is my latest project -

I have had this idea tooling around in my head for over a year, and had intended to use the retired Neighborhood Wheel, (one of my all time favorite images from Stampin' Up! by the way,) but how convenient that SU comes out with Holiday Home. Whoop! Perfect for the project wouldn't you say?
I had so much fun coloring and making all the little details. Here is a close up -

Yes, it took time, but the time was well worth it,.. I love it! Besides, some quality me time was had too! OK, I am off and running, as always thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!

Oh Happy Day

Hey Everyone! I mentioned in my post from yesterday, that I needed to sit down and crank out one more Birthday card this week. Well, that is just what I did. Here is my second birthday card this week -

I used two hostess sets for this card, Nuts about you, and Hello Love. :) Over the last couple of weeks I have had to do some reorganizing in my stamp/laundry room due to some plumbing issues. While I was putting things in their place, I found some retired SU cork sheets. Never opened of course, until yesterday... a little late to the party, but better late than never. :) Who knows, maybe you have some, and can breathe some new life into them too! Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!

A Masculine 50

Hey Everyone! I hope everyone had a great Halloween, and their fill of all the treats too! I know I certainly have. :) I have a quick share this afternoon... I needed to sit down and make a 50th birthday card for a family friend. I wanted to keep the card simple, and stated considering he is a no frills kind of guy, but,.. step it up all the same.. Here is my card -

I used some retired stuff from my stash/hoard that I found while reorganizing recently. :) I like the outcome, and I am sure the recipient will too. OK, off to make one more card for another friend with a birthday this week! Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek! :)
