Fallen hues

Hello Everyone! Happy Halloween too! I have a really quick post today. The boys are home from school, and I need to get them ready for Trick-or-Treating. I will try to post a picture of them all dressed in their costumes. Well onto today's card then. I played along in this weeks Color me Beautiful challenge this week. The colors for the week are Perfect Plum, Crumb Cake, Raspberry Ripple, Chocolate Chip, and Summer Starfruit. Lots of  Fall colors in there, so I went with a fall card-

I used my only fall set, French Foliage. I guess I need to break down and get a new set for fall just for variety sake. :) My leaves are stamped in Summer Starfruit, Perfect plum, and Raspberry Ripple. I sponged the edges of each of the cut out leaves with the same color I stamped it in, then went over each one of them with one of the other colors/sponges I used to give the leaves some depth. Love it!
OK, I am off to get the kiddos ready for a fun filled night. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!

Sail Away wishes

Hi Everyone! I have a Birthday card to share today. My Brother-in-law has the pleasure of celebrating his birthday on the same day as Halloween. I would think that he has had his share of  cards over the years that are Halloween themed cards, so I really didn't want to add to the collection. So I set out with the stamp Sail Away -

I stamped my image in Chocolate Chip ink, heat set, then water colored the image with Midnight Muse, and Summer Starfruit inks. I used my coluzzle to cut out the image, then added a few details to finish it off. I hope he likes it. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!

Little boy Additions

Hello Everyone! Happy Monday too! Over the weekend I actually needed to sit down and create a card. I love when I have to actually sit, close the door for an hour, and create something start to finish without interruption. Hmmmm... I feel all warm and fuzzy just thinking about it. I feel even more warm and fuzzy considering I had to sit and create a baby card! A baby boy card to boot! Here is my card -

I have had the set Little Additions for some time, but really haven't had the occasion to ink it up. I love the simple lines of the set, so I tried to keep the layout simple and not to fussy considering it is a boy card too. OK, I am off to put this in the mail. Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!

Aw Shucks..

Hi Everyone! Surprised right! Another post this week from me. :) I am busy getting ready for my club ladies this weekend, and we are doing a class with the Perfectly Preserved Bundle. So, I am busy getting some samples made with the set to share as inspiration. I fell in love with the Mason jar image immediately considering they are very trendy right now, but I wanted to try and come up with some other samples based around the other images in the set. Here is what I came up with -

I kinda cased myself with the LO on this card. :) I saw a card with this sentiment on Pintrest, and went from there.
I wish the set came with sentiments, but it's all good, I just hand wrote this one on a scrap with a Chocolate Chip marker, copying a font from the computer. I know the ladies are gonna love it! Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!

Very Merry Christmas

Hello Everyone! I have been busy with taking care of some neglected things around the outside of my house this past couple weeks. My husband took some time off to help out, so we took advantage of the cooler weather, and got most of it done. Feels good too! Well, I know you are not here to read about my negelected to do list, but hoping you are here to check out a Christmas card that I made over the rainy weekend. Thank goodness for the chance to play. :) I decided to make another card using the Ornament Keepsakes Set. Here is my sample -

I saw a card on Pintrest with a similar layout, and took inspiration from that. I really like the way it turned out. Not to bad for a couple weeks away. :) Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!
